I was with a man, he was too violent with me. That’s why I divorced,” declared the woman whose images of her swollen face hit the headlines a few years ago. “Plus, he was cheating on me,” she added. Just one such message could have made people believe it was a coincidence. But when there are two, there is reason to ask questions. Indeed, in episode 12, Maimouna Fall, known as Ramatoulaye in the series, who was also recently divorced from Jay (a former Buzzlab rapper) in real life, launched almost the same message. “You don’t know I’m already married. I divorced because I knew my husband was cheating on me with other people. He was fidgeting from left to right.” A purely fictitious message or clearly aimed at settling scores?
