Anti-Marseille chants, a stoppage for 4 PSG players – Football

The “Marseillais sons of p…” chant sung at the end of the match cost four Paris SG players a one-match ban. This was decided by the disciplinary body of Ligue 1 at the end of the investigation into what happened on 24 September at the end of ‘Le Classique’ of French football, won 4-0 by Luis Enrique’s team.

During the match, homophobic chants arose from the stands of the Parc des Princes, while at the end the PSG players went to celebrate under the Auteuil sector, now closed for a round, and four of them, namely Dembelé, Hakimi, Kolo-Muani and Kurzawa, had done the aforementioned chorus.

For this reason they have now been disqualified for one match, despite the apologies presented after the incident, when they said they regretted not having understood “that we are examples for many, and we should be so at all times. We got carried away from euphoria.”
