Second success in a row for Angri Pallacanestro, which clearly beats Mola New Basket 2012 (87-68). Strong performance for coach Francesco Chiavazzo’s men, still without the long-term patient Globys, who tamed an opponent who performed well. Worth highlighting is Iannicelli’s performance, on the scoresheet with 18 points resulting from six triples. Double figures also for Ruggiero (14), Caloia (14), Izzo (11) and Taddeo (10). The only flaw is the PalaGalvani behind closed doors, due to the now well-known restyling works.
Start in the name of Granata for Angri Pallacanestro, with the pivot achieving the 5-2 that opens the hostilities. Mola is present and responds blow for blow with Vidakovic and Catani for 9 all. Laquintana hurts from long range and hits the target for the guest’s +4 (12-16). The basket seems a bit haunted for the hosts, but Caloia breaks the spell with the bomb to make it 17-20.

Upon returning to the parquet, Izzo scores for a double-digit lead (43-33). Jelic also breaks the deadlock for 50-37. Angri defends wonderfully and extends with 2/2 (52-37) from Taddeo’s line. Mola is in difficulty, but tries to react with Birra (52-42). Angri, however, keeps himself at a safe distance with another 6.75 shot scored by Iannicelli (57-44). Bonanni’s counterattack (59-45) leads the travelers to ask for a new suspension. The latter also burns the net from the corner for 61-45, which takes the game to the final break. The fourth period sees Angri still deservedly ahead with Iannicelli and Taddeo hot from the perimeter (70-55). Iannicelli sees the basket like a bathtub and makes his players rejoice for the 73-57. The captain is unstoppable and with his fifth triple of the evening he rejects a timid comeback attempt by the guests (76-62). And it was he who put an end to the match together with Caloia for the final 87-68.
