American Rider Caroline Pamucku Wins Gold in Individual Jumping at Santiago 2023 Pan American Games

Quillota (Chile), Oct 29 (EFE).- American rider Caroline Pamucku won the gold medal this Sunday in the CCI4 individual jumping competition at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games on the back of HSH Blake in a test that sparked applause from the public that attended the halberdier regiment of Quillota, in central Chile.

The North American competed in last place, already knowing that she had lost the gold and would only win silver as a team, but the pressure could not withstand the favorite, who started with the best preliminary score, with 26.8 points.

An almost immaculate route that concluded with 30.8 points, 1.4 less than the Brazilian Jorge Marcio Carvalho, who won the Pan American silver on the back of Castle Howard Casanova.

The bronze went to Linsday Traisnel, with 34.2 points, who with his magnificent presentation on the Chilean Army arena contributed to his team’s comeback, which took the team gold from the United States by just one tenth.

The Canadian quartet, made up of Collen Loach, Michael Winter, Karl Slezak and Traisel herself, added 115.6 points, one tenth less than the United States, and twelve less than Brazil, which won the bronze.

At the beginning of the event, everything indicated that the United States would win one more gold, but the performance of Sidney Elliot, Sharon White, and Elisabeth Halliday was lower than expected. Only Caroline Pamucku kept it together.

All competitions are carried out under the supervision of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI), an organization with which the EFE Agency has a content dissemination agreement. EFE
