Adult Swim Channel arrives this month on HBO Max – El Sol de México

Warner Bros Discovery announced the incorporation of Adult Swim, one of the most recognized animation brands for young people and adults worldwide, to its offer in Latin America for pay television and its streaming platform.

“At Warner Bros Discovery we are constantly working to connect with Latin American consumers with new proposals that accompany the evolution of the audience and bring us closer to what this audience is passionate about and considers relevant,” commented Vera Buzanello, Country Manager of Brazil and Head of Distribution at Warner Bros.

At the end of October, this new block will be available on pay television programming in Mexico and will offer a variety of original animations, comedy shows, as well as superhero and anime content 24 hours a day. Likewise, Adult Swim seeks to strengthen and expand its content catalog on the HBO Max streaming platform.

According to the quarterly report, HBO Max reached 95.8 million subscribers worldwide during the second quarter of the year, raising its revenue to $2,732 million, 10 percent more compared to the same period of the previous year.

On the platform, Warner Bros Discovery offers entertainment, sports and news content and has franchises such as DC superheroes, Harry Potter, Looney Tunes, Game of Thrones and The Lord of the Rings.

In the case of Adult Swim, the channel has been recognized for more than 15 years for its programming that experiments with animation and offers sharper narratives aimed at young adults.

Warner Bros Discovery’s strategy with the arrival of this channel is to provide a content experience more linked to the Latin American audience, through the creation of locally produced programs. However, Adult Swim will offer Western series such as Rick and Morty and Robot Chicken, along with Japanese animation such as Dragon Ball and Naruto.
