According to Ouest-France, the 112th edition of the Grande Boucle in 2025 should start from Hauts-de-France.

Before knowing the official route of the Tour de France 2024 which will be announced on October 25, the first clues are already filtering in concerning the 2025 edition. According to information from West France , the route of the 112th edition should be drawn from the North and the Hauts-de-France region, which could host the first four stages. The riders would then descend towards Normandy, then Brittany for two stages and reach the Pyrenees mountains in the South-West.

For the moment, the city of the big departure – which is Florence (Italy) in 2024 – would not be known but Lille would hold the rope, indicates France Bleu Nord. Already mobilized for the Rugby World Cup and the Olympic Games next summer, the capital of Hauts-de-France wishes to continue to invest in major sporting events. Looking abroad for its big departures for several years (Copenhagen in 2022, Bilbao in 2023), the Tour and its organizer ASO would therefore consider leaving from the North, 24 years after the inaugural prologue of Dunkirk in 2001.
