The conference was moderated by local journalist Maria Corrao and was attended by the president of the Bar Association of Velletri Stefano Armati, the lawyer Patrizia La Rosa, president of the Equal Opportunities Committee of Veliterni lawyers and representative of the anti-violence listening center of the Court of Velletri . Among the speakers also Dr. Paola Scampati, director of the ASL, which deals with this sector and Cristina Lozzi of the anti-violence team of the Prosecutor’s Office. At the end of the conference which lasted from 3pm to 5pm, the Memorandum of Understanding against gender violence was signed with the head of civil protection, which now also includes Civil Protection volunteers. The bishop of Albano Vincenzo Viva, the responsible commanders and delegates of the local law enforcement agencies and the local police took part in the convention. The mayor of Pomezia Veronica Felici and the local police commander Angelo Pizzoli acted as hosts.
“Our Municipal Administration, said Mayor Felici, is very pleased to participate in this initiative and will commit itself on this front. Putting into practice all the suggestions given by the prosecutor and the experts present. And collaborating closely with the Prosecutor’s Office and the ASL, thank you also to the structures already existing in the Pomezia area for this purpose”.
At the end of the meeting Maria Carozza was also remembered with a minute of silence. The woman killed by her lover in the spring of 2019 in Pomezia.
