The first sales phase for tickets for the European Football Championship in Germany 2024 started on Tuesday afternoon. “We are very satisfied with the start of ticket sales,” said the organizing committee in the late afternoon. “The interest from Germany, but also from all over the world, is enormous. Just three hours after launch, 3.1 million tickets were requested from 142 countries.”
According to the organizing committee, the most popular game at the moment is the opening game. The first European Championship game will take place on June 14, 2024 in Munich – the final a month later in Berlin. “The number of inquiries received through our customer service is very low and all systems are running smoothly,” it said.
“Highly in demand”
“The tickets are in great demand,” said tournament ambassador Célia Šašić. “There will probably be a much, much higher number of applications than there are even tickets available.” It would be a success “if we really celebrate a nice festival,” said the 35-year-old.

Lahm and Šašić shot balls into the audience at an event in Hamburg, which are associated with a direct right to purchase two European Championship tickets. Fans usually have to apply for tickets on the UEFA website.
