Xavi Simons helped RB Leipzig to a victory over Union Berlin. Last season’s number three won 3-0 in Berlin against the number four and the former PSV player was good for a goal and an assist.

The nice poster was initially not fulfilled on the field. The emphasis was clearly on defense, so that there was little to enjoy before the break. In the 51st minute, Simons created the highlight of the evening with a beautiful curl in the intersection.

Shortly afterwards, Union captain Danilho Doekhi saw that Kevin Volland was shown a red card on his basic debut for a kick from behind. Substitute Benjamin Sesko then scored two more times.

Leipzig recorded its second win of the season. The club lost the first game at Bayer Leverkusen. Champions League debutant Union lost for the first time this season and, like Leipzig, has six points. Only Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich are still without a loss of points after three matches.
