SURABAYA – The 2023 Kapolda Cup friendly badminton match, which was held at the Tangguh Semeru Badminton GOR, East Java Regional Police Headquarters, to commemorate the 40th National Sports Day, has been completed.
Of the 20 competing teams, first, second and third place winners have been announced. The third place winner was won by the Head of Sub-Directorate I Criminal Investigation who was paired with the Trenggalek Police Chief.
Meanwhile, second place was won by the Probolinggo City Police Chief and Head of Sub-Directorate Paminal Bid Propam, while first place was won by Bondowoso Police Chief and Head of Dumasan Itwasda Subdivision.
East Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Pol Dr Toni Harmanto, symbolically gave trophies and medals to the Bondowoso Police Chief and the Head of Dumasan Itwasda Subdivision, who came out as winners in the Badminton Kapolda Cup 2023.
“This event is one way of relaxing the demands of work that we continue to face even though in the future we will be increasingly busy with the election stages,” said the East Java Regional Police Chief after handing over medals to the winners, Friday (22/9).
East Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Pol Toni Harmanto said, apart from commemorating National Sports Day, this part of the sport is to maintain physical stability and stamina in facing the duties carried out as members of the National Police.
