When Gaël Monfils and Félix Auger-Aliassime get confused during the Laver Cup

Team Europe got off to a bad start in the 2023 Laver Cup, which started on Friday in Vancouver (Canada). She lost her first four matches against the World team and found herself trailing 0-4. The first team to 13 points will win the trophy.

The Laver Cup is an exhibition tournament, which does not appear on the ATP calendar. And this is what caused confusion for Gaël Monfils. The French player, dominated in two sets by the Canadian Félix Auger-Aliassime (6-4, 6-3), annoyed his opponent with a little too relaxed behavior.

Auger-Aliassime, for example, criticized him for briefly sitting next to a linesman instead of preparing to receive the serve. The two players explained, and Monfils told him that he had been asked to come to have fun.
