Olbia. The sports club Virtus Olbia Basketball has announced the reopening for this new year 2023/2024 and registrations are already open. This is what the company reported:
“It starts on Monday 4 September at 17:00, at the Tiughì open-air field in via Imperia with an open test entirely dedicated to Mini-Basketball for boys and girls born between 2019 and 2012. Not only small athletes, however: the main The novelty of this third season, in fact, is the birth of the first Virtus Under group. for Virtus and a great opportunity for growth both for us and for our athletes, who will compete in a competitive championship for the first time”. The renewal of the board of directors is another of the changes that mark the rapid progress of the team from Olbia , young but already well established and with far-reaching objectives.The founder Francesco Bonannini is reconfirmed as President, while the position of Deputy passes to Nicola Basanisi who will also be the technical manager who will lead the Mini-Basketball sector together with the instructors Renato Rossi and Daniele Perra.
“Among our goals as educators and instructors – says Coach Basanisi – there is that of working on sense-perceptions, that is, with the game-sport of basketball, developing touch and sight, with suitable games, implementing the ability to recognize spaces and enhance the sense of orientation, all by combining the fun and passion that are the cornerstones of our Company, together with integration and knowing how to play in a group, always respecting the rules”. The managerial staff is then completed with the managers Luciano Pazzola, Salvatore Scanu, Renato Rossi and Davide Lecis.
“As the new sports season approaches, work becomes more and more frenetic to be ready to welcome the athletes who confirm their presence and those who want to try the Virtus experience – says President Bonannini – we have joined the technical staff and the management new figures who will bring their experience, skills and ideas, and will put their technical and managerial baggage at the disposal of all those who want to enter the world of basketball through us”. Partially modified set-ups, therefore, but the same drive and enthusiasm that characterized last season: “Virtus did not go on holiday, but worked all summer to get to the starting point ready to develop projects inside and outside the field”, say the management, referring to the many initiatives in the pipeline. From the collaboration with kindergartens, already started last year, up to the numerous actions planned to involve the families of young athletes more and thus create an increasingly cohesive and inclusive community, oriented towards the healthy values of sport.”
