View of autopsy files: This is how sprint legend Florence Griffith-Joyner died

Her death shocked the sports world! At the age of 38, the 100-meter world record holder Florence Griffith-Joyner – known as “Flo Jo” – died suddenly on September 21, 1998. The American was buried at 6:30 a.m. in her home at 22525 Bluejay in Mission Viejo (California/ Found 85 kilometers from Los Angeles by her husband Al Joyner. He immediately called an ambulance when he noticed his wife was no longer breathing. She was pronounced dead at 6:54 a.m.

WELT has the autopsy report from the coroner’s office – prepared by the Orange County Sheriff under case number 98-06262-ME. The examination by Dr. Richard Fukumoto was taken four and a half hours after death.
