Vermin’s Women Dominate in Playoff Semifinals with Double Victory

Vermin’s women are in the playoff semifinals

On Saturday, our ladies were able to beat the Freising Grizzlies twice on home soil. 6:4 and 7:0 were the final results.
In the first game, Hannah Held started on Jenny Weil. It took the ladies until the fourth inning to get anything countable on the scoreboard. But Freising always came back. In the fifth inning the score was 4-4. In the sixth inning, the ladies scored both runners with a hit from Katha Szalay into CF with runners on 3 and 1. This also consolidated the final score of 6:4 for the Vermins.

In the second game, Claudia Volkmann started on Amelie Kühler. The Battery had the Freising offensive under control. Two hits and one hit by pitch was the score of the guests in 5 innings. And the women’s offensive also played loosely in the second game. 7 hits and 7 points was the ball game after 5 innings.

Overall, the Vermins performed well as a team, with each individual contributing to the two wins. The atmosphere in the Dugout was again very relaxed and loud.

The semi-finals continue next week. The Best of Three series takes place in Stuttgart. The ladies are happy about every spectator who wants to support us there.
