San Marino fails to make a comeback: UnipolSai Fortitudo Bologna triumphs in Serravalle, winning, thanks to the 6-2 success in game four of the Italian Baseball Series, the fourteenth Scudetto in their history, the first since 2020, avenging the 2021 defeat which took place in Serravalle against San Marino. San Marino’s errors were decisive, a home run by Eugene Helder and the performance of the winning pitcher Christopher Molina, in the first Scudetto Final of the Italian championship. Daniele Frignani’s Effe becomes the fourth team since 1986 capable of making a run in an IBS series played in the best of seven games. For the Bolognese this is the fifth time out of six IBS series played against San Marino, after the victories in 2005, 2009, 2019 and 2020. Ricardo Paolini awarded by the press room and the official classifiers as Most Valuable Player of the IBS 2023.
