TV rights: Eurosport will extend ATP tennis until 2028

World tennis remains faithful to Eurosport. Indeed, according to our information, the Warner Bros Discovery group, parent company of the pay sports channel, has reached an agreement for the extension of the broadcasting contract (Masters 1000 and several ATP 500 and 250) for the period 2024-2028 . However, the contract, which was 11 million euros per season for 2019-2023, would have been significantly reduced. The contract must be signed in the next few days but all the details are settled. Contacted, the Warner Bros-Discovery group did not wish to confirm this information.

Free-to-air co-broadcasting still to be settled

There remains the free-to-air co-broadcasting rights for the Rolex Paris Masters and Monte-Carlo tournaments over the same period, previously held by the Canal+ group for its C8 channel. On this file, the France Télévisions group would have proposed the retransmission of one match per day on its digital platform and the retransmission of the finals on one of its linear channels. But several candidates would have applied and this part of the contract would not yet be finalized.

As a reminder, Eurosport also always offers the US Open and the Australian Open on its antennas. BeIN Sports holds the rights to the WTA until 2026. The channel must nevertheless renegotiate its contract with the Wimbledon tournament, which expired this summer.
