TSV Abensberg to Host German Judo Bundesliga’s 60th Anniversary Championship

Published in Bundesliga

To mark the club’s 60th anniversary, TSV Abensberg welcomes the four best men’s teams of the German Judo Bundesliga to Abensberg on October 7th.

Against the backdrop of a Bundesliga divided into North and South, the two first and second placed teams in each league will meet on the final day of the match. The first-placed team in one group meets the second-placed team in the other group and fights for a place in the final.

Since the current preliminary round fights only end on September 23rd, 2023, the opponents have not yet been finally determined. In addition, there are very close scores, with Remscheider TV, the Hamburg Judo Team and KSC ASAHI Spremberg eV still having to decide between themselves the places for the final in the Northern Bundesliga.

In the South table, TSV Abensberg is still the record champion with 23 titles, but had to bow to a very strong opponent, KSV Esslingen, in a close game in the preliminary round of the South group. The final ranking is still open, as the Abensbergers have a bye on the last day of the fight and Esslingen can still overtake the currently first-placed team.

The fights begin on Saturday, October 7th, 2023 at 10:30 a.m.
The opening is at 10:00 a.m
Admission is from 8:00 a.m.
