Stade Toulousain won (21-27) this Saturday on the field of Oyonnax during the 3rd day.

Stade Toulousain confirms! After its great victory against Montpellier Hérault Rugby last weekend (38-13), the formation of the Ville Rose won this Saturday at the Charles-Mathon Stadium against Oyonnax Rugby, after a particularly rhythmic (21-27). Ugo Mola’s men quickly took the lead, first with a penalty scored by Billy Searle (11th) then with a try from Paul Graou, converted by the British flyhalf (20th). Shortly before half-time, Lucas Tauzin worsened the mark by registering a new try (38th), also transformed. However, the Oyomen stayed in the game thanks to Jules Soulan, who was skilful on penalties in the first period (2/2; 30th, 40th). It is therefore with a score of 6-17 that the two teams returned to the locker room.

After the break, the Rouge et Noir, very realistic, quickly scored a new try, again through Paul Graou (45th); once again, Billy Searle transformed it. The Oyomen, however, did not give up. They continued to play with a lot of desire. Desire rewarded with a try scored by the third line Rory Grice (50th) and transformed by Jules Soulan. The French opener, on a new penalty, allowed his people to return to eight small points just before the hour mark (57th). But the people of Toulouse did not panic. They have mastered their subject. And thanks to a penalty from Billy Searle at the end of the match (75th), they managed to regain an eleven-point lead…and to get a second success in a row. Joe El Abd’s players may however have regrets. Because in the last moments of the game, again thanks to Rory Grice, they scored a second try which allowed them to come back to within six points of their opponents. Jules Soulan had the opportunity to offer the defensive bonus point to his team but his transformation was missed… With this success, Stade Toulousain temporarily moved up to second place in the standings. Oyonnax Rugby, which has two losses in three matches, is twelfth.
