Toni Kukoc weighs in on comparing Michael Jordan and LeBron James in NBA basketball

Toni Kukoc, triple NBA champion with the Chicago Bulls, was asked about the eternal debate that prevails in NBA basketball: The comparison between Michael Jordan and LeBron James.

“It is difficult to compare players who have never played at the same time, who have never faced each other. Obviously, like everything in basketball, it is evolving. It’s getting better and better,” Kukoc said.

“Today you can see all the older players and know all their moves. You can practice the movements, you can prepare yourself better because the knowledge of what to eat and how to prepare yourself, how to get rid of your injuries faster, how to keep your body in shape… all these little things can make you a better player”, added the Croatian basketball player.

“Michael obviously took world basketball to another level. From there, LeBron is what LeBron is and now he gave Luka (Doncic) the opportunity to be Luka and (Nikola) Jokic to be Jokic. You could never imagine that in those days”, highlighting the influence of the Chicago Bulls icon.
