The Wanzois Enjoyed a Busy and Varied Program at the Launch of the Fêtes de Wallonie

The Wanzois were spoiled this weekend with a busy and varied program on the occasion of the launch of the Fêtes de Wallonie, from Friday.

Saturday, Place Faniel and surroundings, young people familiarized themselves with certain sports such as basketball, gymnastics or badminton, adults also around an improvised boxing ring. From 4.30 p.m., La Royale Harmonie Concorde Saint-Martin d’Antheit launched the festivities: the Wallonia Festivals clearly started with a bang!

At 5:30 p.m., the Brothers of Seventies provided the atmosphere. On the track, Marlise, a very sympathetic Wanzoise, honored them by indulging in a few dance steps.

Around the high tables, the reunion between friends began. From 6 p.m., the world really flocked. The hearts of the participants were at the party, happy to devour a bread-sausage and cut a flank steak with family and friends. The carnival was then in full swing.

“I’m waiting for friends to spend the evening, explains Monique Dethier, president of Kirifous, which organizes the Wanze laughter festival. I take this opportunity to submit invitations for our February show. It’s never too early.” And Monique to continue to distribute her flyers while the place is black with people, the DJs of the evening must not be strangers to it.

On Sunday, the Fêtes de Wallonie were diversified with a number of activities and events intended to introduce the social, cultural, economic and sporting actors of the town: “Wanz’é vous” breakfast, Equinox demo, trophy and merits athletes, creation of badges with the Communal Plan for the Fight against Poverty (PCLP), disability awareness actions and finally the traditional lingerie clip parade.
