THE SPORTS FESTIVAL IN RIVOLI
The Sports Department in collaboration with Turismo Ovest and the Municipal Council for Sports is proposing the “Sports Festival” on Sunday 1st October in Piazza Aldo Moro. Local sports associations will be present to make themselves known and present their activities. From 10.00 to 19.00 it will be possible to approach different practices for free, under the supervision and indications of coaches and instructors. On the stage set up, starting from 2.00 pm, the awards ceremony for athletes who have distinguished themselves during the year is scheduled. From 3.30 pm there will be a succession of demonstrations prepared by the associations. Among the disciplines present there will be: hockey, skating, boxing, volleyball, basketball, dance, rhythmic gymnastics, postural and gentle gymnastics, Nordic walking, karate, Judo, kung-fu, football, tennis, padel.
THE DEMONSTRATIONS
“This edition will be a real party– declares the Councilor for Sport and Deputy Mayor Laura Adduce – with the participation of local sports organisations, music, demonstrations and tests for the public. It is our desire to convey sport understood not only as a tool for correct psycho-physical development, but also as a gym capable of teaching values, principles and team spirit, capable of promoting socialization. The Nordic Walking Rivoli & Valsusa was present in Villacortese, at a nice meeting of styles, mentalities and techniques, certainly united by a single purpose. Great party well organized by the very active Alto Milanese Nordic Walking group, good times for the single 5k race and the exhilarating 5x1km relay race. Not to mention the K1 contest, the maximum expression of inclusion with the athletes: Angela, Marco, Ileano.
