If it’s sunny days in Miami today, Jimmy Butler waited a while to find success in his career. His time with the Sixers didn’t really go as fans would have liked, but there were also his first steps in the NBA with the Bulls. With Joakim Noah and Derrick Rosethe winger had gradually become a real star and had enough to fuel great ambitions.

If the two best friends were prone to injuries for a long time, the advent of Buckets nevertheless coincided with their return to form. The hopes of seeing an incredible trio had gradually been resurrected among the fans, but D-Rose and Noah finally decided to leave for the Knicks in 2016. I think the guys had different views on what it took to win. I don’t think everyone was on the same page, frankly, on what the guys’ roles should be. That’s what it comes down to, really. I think looking at the talent of each individual, everyone wanted to show how good they could be every night.

If he is known for not regretting much in his career or in his life overall, Butler still considers that the talent of the Bulls squad would have deserved better results. With Tom Thibodeau leading the team, these Bulls never did better than a second round of the playoffs despite the undeniable talent the team had. Finally, we can imagine that the winger is rather happy to have left.

Since he arrived in Miami, he has been able to experience several epics during which he was a major player. Last year, he reached the NBA Finals for the second time in four years with some memorable performances. His dry defeat against the Nuggets therefore came to shatter the dreams of a first championship ring for the second time, after the failure against the Lakers in 2020…

Today, Bulls fans have DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine but just a few years ago, they had Derrick Rose, Joakim Noah and Jimmy Butler. The latter recently returned to the departure of these two stars, but probably does not regret any of his own choices…
