There is one team that Germany has met most often at the men’s soccer World Cup – but which is it?

The answer can be found in distant South America: The most common opponent of the German team has been Argentina. The German national team has won eight of the 23 games against Argentina so far. The German national team’s last victory against Argentina was achieved in the 2014 World Cup final in Rio de Janeiro.
