The next tennis film is coming: This time Amazon is dedicated to the romance between Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi.

Tennis documentaries are very popular right now, and Boris Becker’s life alone was recently filmed and discussed in various media. And that of the most successful German player of all time? Hardly yet. Probably also because Steffi Graf completely retired to Las Vegas after her tennis career.
But now the love story between Graf and Andre Agassi is to be made into a film. Amazon subsidiary “Prime Video” recently announced this. The working title “A Perfect Match”. Agassi and Graf were informed about the film but not involved.
Graf is played by Lena Klenke (known from “How To Sell Drugs Online (Fast)”), Andre Agassi by Toby Sebastian (“Game of Thrones”). Also there: Bianca Bardoe (as Agassi’s former wife Brooke Shields), Michael Kessler as Peter Graf, Inka Friedrich as Heidi Graf, Danny Szam as Agassi’s brother Philly and Leonard Scheicher as Michael Bartels (Steffi Graf’s former friend).
The script comes from Chris Silber (“Good Bye Lenin!”) and Florian Gallenberger, who also directs.
The film was shot in Rome until a few weeks ago.

Agassi already has love story in Open told
Tennis fans have long had a good insight into the romance, from Andre Agassi himself. He already had it in his autobiography in 2009 Open reported in detail about his courtship of Steffi Graf after she initially turned him down after their shared Wimbledon triumph in 1992.
It was finally coach Brad Gilbert who was able to persuade Graf’s trainer Heinz Günthardt to join them in a training session in 1999. Agassi then intensified his trade with a gigantic bouquet of rose flowers, which initially soured on Graf’s balcony. But Agassi persisted and persuaded Graf to have dinner together.
The rest: is history. And hopefully one whose film adaptation is worth watching. The film will be shown on Prime Video in 2024.
