“The goals will come”: Gonçalo Ramos, still silent with PSG, is not worried

Holder at the forefront of the Parisian attack after scoring a very good double with Portugal against Luxembourg (9-0), Gonçalo Ramos, recruited this summer from Benfica Lisbon, once again delivered a slightly pale copy this Friday evening against Nice (2-3). The Lusitanian, who is still waiting for his first goal with Paris and who inherited a rating of 4 in our columns, debriefed his performance and that of his team in the mixed zone.

What are your overall impressions of the match?

GONÇALO RAMOS. They scored three goals, we only scored two… we lost. They’re a very good team, they applied good pressure and overall had a very good match. We could have won, we had chances, but that’s how it is. We are already focused on the next match.

How do you feel tactically in this team, alongside Kylian Mbappé and Ousmane Dembélé?

I feel good, at ease. I think we need a little more time to get to know each other better. We need to learn how others move, communicate better. We will improve game after game.

A defeat just before hosting Dortmund in the Champions League (Tuesday evening, at 9 p.m.), is not the ideal way to prepare for this meeting…

A defeat is never a good way to end the evening. But for us, that no longer matters. We are fully focused on Dortmund.

What was the problem tonight? We had the impression that Paris showed a different face from previous matches.

I think we tried to play our game, our football. But sometimes it’s more complicated. We can’t always play as well as the previous match and like I said, we faced a very good team tonight.

You touched few balls this evening (17), you had few opportunities to shine or score your first goal with PSG, what did you think of your performance and what do you think you need to improve?

I believe I have to stay the same player, but work every day. The chances, the goals, they will come.
