The kiss imposed by the former boss of Spanish football, Luis Rubiales, on the player Jenni Hermoso on the evening of the world coronation of the women’s team continues to cause waves within the Spanish Football Federation.

“The Royal Spanish Football Federation [RFEF] decided today to do without the services of its communications director, Pablo Garcia-Cuervo”wrote the federation on Friday September 29 in a press release.

The dismissal of Mr. Garcia-Cuervo comes in addition to the dismissals of the general secretary of the RFEF, Andreu Camps, considered close to Rubiales, of the director of the department in charge of Integrity, Miguel Garcia Caba, and of the former coach of the women’s team, Jorge Vilda, who led the Spanish to the title of world champions on August 20 in Sydney.
