The dismissal of Sven Mislintat from Ajax was particularly big news. Ibrahim Afellay is now looking at the appointment of Alex Kroes.
“That was also a big mistake, wasn’t it?” Afellay adjusts Studio Football. “If you only appoint a general manager, who is of vital importance to a club because he supervises a technical director, in March… That is not possible as a listed company, is it?”
That allowed Sven Mislintat to make the mistakes he did. “This has given Mislintat a free hand. He has been able to do everything without being corrected at all,” he continues. He places responsibility with the Supervisory Board at Ajax. “They gave Mislintat a free pass. By firing Mislintat you do not solve all the problems.”
