Flavio Bucca from SC Kreuzlingen at the front

Swimmer Flavio Bucca showed excellent performances in his favorite discipline backstroke over different distances.

This is one of the reasons why the 18-year-old from the Kreuzlingen Swimming Club is aiming to qualify for the Elite European Championships next year.

Team sports, which are in the top Swiss league, are also at the forefront.

Represented as the highest national division in an Olympic ball sport are the Kreuzlingen water polo players, who won the double this year and have now won twelve championship titles and ten cups.

The water polo players and the Kreuzlingen Sailing Association were also successful

The successful water polo players will also take part in the European Cup next year.

Coach Milan Petrovic spoke of major challenges and the preparatory phase after the reopening of the Egelsee swimming pool.

The Kreuzlingen Sailing Association with Pablo Rüegge, Linus Abicht and the 14 and 15-year-old students Liv Wicki and Malena Rüegge also stood out with top results in the highest strength classes.

Track and field athlete Shelly Schenk even conquered 45 kilometers with the pitfalls of a mountain run in best performances.

Great popularity of martial arts in the canton of Thurgau

The fast cyclists are just as central, above all the BMX riders Cédric Butti and Gil Brunner as well as the mountain biker Simon Walter.

Martial arts in Thurgau are popular. The disciplines karate and judo distinguish several athletes.

In an interview with Leemann, trainer Barbara Vonbank spoke about the training of Benno Witte, an athlete with a mental disability who achieved an excellent fourth place in judo at the Special Olympic World Games in Berlin.

Fistball player Silvan Jung, marksman Sarina Hitz and Leandra Stadelmann, vaulting on horseback, were among the athletes who received applause.

Top wheelchair athlete Marcel Hug is ready to go
