Paderborn/Witten. The judoka from SU Annen III have perfected the championship in the association league. This is how the decisive victories in Paderborn were achieved.

As third in the table, the Witten team traveled to Paderborn for the two decisive duels. There it was against the teams from JST Herten and TV Paderborn, which were at the top of the ranking. At the start, the SUA judoka under coach Manuel Neumann challenged the fighters from Herten. And things got off to a good start right away, as Bundesliga coach Stefan Oldenburg won his match in the over 90 kilogram category early. Falk Hobein (-66 kg) and Artem Dashidin (-73 kg) also achieved this – but the 3-2 lead was no rest. In section two, Oldenburg, Hobein and Dashidin prevailed again, and Noel Appel (-90 kg) also won – making the 7:3 victory perfect.
SU Annen II will be promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga
In the second encounter against TV Paderborn, the Annen team achieved exactly the same feat. Oldenburg and Dashidin as well as Alexander Schnackenberg (-81 kg) and Laurin Denzig (-66 kg) ensured a reassuring 4-1 lead. Because Oldenburg, Appel (-81 kg) and Denzig won their fights in the second round, the SUA victory was already certain. After Annen’s 7:3, TV Paderborn won 7:3 against JST Herten and became runner-up.
“It is clear that we will be promoted straight to the top league. “That’s remarkable because we had only just gotten into the association league with the third team,” said Manuel Neumann. There may even be a double promotion to celebrate soon, because the “second place” SU Annen is now looking to make it into the 2nd Bundesliga for the first time as runner-up. The decision will be made at the beginning of October.
