Sometimes we just feel sorry for the people in Long Live Love. Maybe the makers of the TV show care, but the match seems like such a mismatch at times. For example, Steven and Demi probably seem good for each other at first glance, but a lot of snags soon arise. After a few more failed matches in Lang Leve De Liefde, Steven and Demi walked into the villa yesterday. Steven is a 24-year-old businessman who has mainly focused on his business so far. As a result, he has not yet had a serious relationship, but hopefully that will change now. He certainly has experience with women, but is looking for someone who will strengthen him. “I felt like it never really empowered me,” he says in his intro video. “And I feel like if you don’t strengthen each other, it’s ultimately a waste of energy.”
It seems as if Demi (25) is matched with the right type by the reality program, at least in terms of appearance. She is looking for someone with a “wrong car salesman look”, a bit of an idiot. Then Steven certainly fits into the picture. “I find that attractive in someone,” she says. It has to be a bit balanced: one bad guy and caring. Oh, we don’t know yet whether he is also that caring.

When they are sitting in the garden in the sun, Steven tells us a little more about himself. Only it seems like Demi has strayed a bit. She is probably listening, but also seems a bit distracted by the nice weather. When they have cooled down in an ice bath after the one-sided conversation, they decide to play badminton. They often hop from activity to activity. Although Steven does provide some new material for discussion here. He first gave the option of summoning spirits, after which Demi says: “I used to believe in that a lot; in spirits and such.” Then she naturally flows into a conversation about her deceased sister. But this doesn’t seem to get through to Steven, because he suddenly says something about badminton. Wait, huh? It doesn’t stop Demi from continuing to talk. Only think about themselves
In the preview of the next LLDL episode, Steven shows that he is certainly not a silent guest. He can chat, but mainly seems to want attention from the camera. In the Instagram video below, he ‘vlogs’ through his early morning with a cup of coffee. Delicious! The fact that Demi walks around the villa is nice, but perhaps more of a side issue.
The new episode of Lang Leve De Liefde can be seen tonight at 7 p.m. on SBS6.
