Spalding Japan Co., Ltd. has announced that the SPALDING BASKETBALL ACADEMY Nippori school for children will open on September 4th.
The Spalding Basketball Academy provides training programs that make use of the unique know-how of Spalding, the world’s No. 1 basketball gear brand. We aim to develop the next generation of players and create an environment through the experience of learning from professional coaches and experiencing the improvement of one’s own skills while having fun and positively working on basketball.
Since the Academy Machida school opened in June 2021, many academy students have improved their skills with coaches in Tokyo (Machida school, Kichijoji school), Kanagawa (Isehara school), and Gunma (Maebashi school, Takasaki school). We are working hard and plan to expand further throughout Japan in the future.
At the Nippori school, which will open this time, in addition to elementary school classes for elementary school students from 1st grade to 6th grade, we will establish a new infant class for the first time in the academy. This class will be a small school with a capacity of 10 people, targeting preschoolers aged 4 to 6 who will be the seniors throughout the year. This class aims to provide more detailed guidance to young children who are new to basketball.
The coach is Kotaro Shirai, who was selected as a junior all-star in Chiba Prefecture in junior high school, was active in the national best 16 in high school, and is currently active as a member of the adult team and a 3×3 player. In addition, TEAM SPALDING’s B.LEAGUE players will appear as special guests.
