The captain of the Czech national football team, Tomáš Souček, gave West Ham a 1:0 victory on the field of third division Lincoln in the third round of the English League Cup.

San Siro favorites Inter opened the scoring in the first half thanks to Dumfries. However, the visitors turned the score around after the change of sides with the goals of Bajrami and Berardi. After Saturday’s 4:2 triumph over Juventus Turin, Sassuolo surprised another favorite and is eighth.
The Neapolitan team started to win already in the first act, when Zieliňski scored from a penalty kick and Osimhen. Less than a quarter of an hour before the end, Kvaracchelija increased. Samardžič scored for Udine, but Simeone, another substitute player, added the fourth home goal immediately afterwards. The reigning champions scored full points after three rounds, they are four points behind the leader from fifth place.
Cagliari, without injured midfielder Jakub Jankt, sent Luvumbo into the lead in the 29th minute, but AC turned the score around after Okafor and Tomori before the break. In the 60th minute, Loftus-Cheek added insurance for the visitors with a placed shot. The Milan team won the fifth out of six duels this season in Serie A. Cagliari fell to last place with two points.
Bergamo won 1-0 in Verona with a goal from Koopmeiners in the 13th minute. Atalanta scored full away points after two defeats in a row and is in fourth position.

Real Madrid beat Las Palmas 2-0 at home in the seventh round of the Spanish league. Surprisingly, Girona leads the table by a point ahead of the runner-up thanks to a 2:1 victory at Villarreal. La Liga’s two highest-ranked teams will meet in Girona on Saturday.
Real had overwhelming pressure and great chances from the start, but could not overcome goalkeeper Valles for a long time. Only Brahim Díaz ended his immunity in the first half. Shortly after switching sides, Joselu added the second home goal with a header.
The Madrid favorite partially made up for Sunday’s 1:3 league defeat against city rivals Atlético and won the seventh of eight competitive matches this year.
Villarreal had the upper hand in the first half and shortly after the break Parejo gave the home side the lead with a converted penalty. However, the Girona players confirmed their great form and turned the result around. Dovbyk equalized in the 56th minute and García made the decision moments later. The Catalan team remained unbeaten in the league season and won for the sixth time in a row.
