Former world number 3 Pam Shriver commented on the attitude of Sofia Kenin’s father, Alex, during the latter’s final against Barbora Krejcikova in San Diego on Sunday.
“A coach or father should not look so disheveled when watching his child play (don’t show me when my child plays a grand final at 4–4 in the last set!)”wrote the finalist of the 1978 US Open who still understands the concern of the person concerned.

Kenin ended up losing 6–4 in the third set, much to his father’s dismay.
