Secretary of Sports Implements CPR and AED Training for Federations and Sports Associations

The Secretary of Sports, through its Training department of the Directorate of Educational and Inclusive Policies, implemented a very good initiative and that consists of beginning to train all federations and/or sports associations in CPR and AED management

The first federation trained was the San Juan Federation of Judoby the team of replicators from the Health area of ​​the Secretary of State for Sports, held yesterday Thursday 31, in the warm-up room Aldo Cantoni Stadium, place destined to carry out all the trainings during the present month of September.

In this training, the necessary techniques are addressed to be people capable of intervening, helping and dealing with emergency situations that may arise in the development of sports activities.

The purpose of this training is to provide first aid tools to professionals, which will allow them to stabilize the beneficiary until they can be attended by specialized health personnel, whose correct and timely practice can save lives.

One of the most important first aid application techniques is CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation). With this technique, the rescuer tries to restore the vital functions momentarily interrupted by a cardiorespiratory arrest. The goal is to maintain brain function until spontaneous breathing and circulation are restored.

The dissertation dealt with sudden death, prevention of drowning, management of the Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) and the objective of the Provincial Cardio Assistance Plan was known. Also, primarily, the functioning of the heart was taught, its ventricular defibrillation and the maneuvers to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) were practiced.

They will be totally free, with prior registration and ministerial certification, intended for teachers/technicians/physical trainers with the aim of creating safe spaces with professionals at the disposal of the well-being of each San Juan resident.
