Ryder Cup Saturday morning program

On the occasion of this Saturday morning’s Ryder Cup matches, Europe is renewing its Friday morning pairs. Clearly trailing, the Americans will rely on Brooks Koepka to start the comeback.

For this second session of foursomes (one ball, alternating shots), Europe logically remains with the same composition. The same eight players who dominated America on Friday are therefore back, with the only fantasy being the McIlroy – Fleetwood pair, who go from match 4 to match 1, and vice versa for Rahm – Hatton. To see if the young nugget Ludvig Aberg will succeed in taking the lead from the brilliant Viktor Hovland, after a fairly attentive first morning.

On the American side, Zach Johnson shakes up his pairs and sends Koepka – Scheffler to the front, after taking them out of the fridge Friday afternoon. Same process with Spieth – Thomas, who will also make their debut in foursomes, after coming off the bench in 4-balls. Harman – Homa and the disappointing Schauffele – Cantlay are given a second chance, while Morikawa and Burns unsurprisingly slip to the sidelines.
