Ronnie O’Sullivan Reveals his List of the Best Snooker Players of All Time

7-time world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan has made his list of the best players of all time for Eurosport.

“I put Stephen Hendry at 1, Steve Davis at 2, Joe Davis at 3, Ray Reardon at 4 and John Higgins at 5.”

“I can’t mention my own name,” laughs the 47-year-old Englishman, who hopes for a new whirlwind at the snooker table.

A new slop head even. “Like Max Verstappen in Formula 1. He wins everything.”

“It makes the sport more interesting,” says O’Sullivan. “When a player dominates, you want to see him at work. To see if someone can beat him.”

Who is eligible? “Currently no player dominates the sport of snooker,” said the grandmaster.

“You have a lot of good players. With Ben Mertens and of course Luca Brecel, Belgium even has very good players. Just like China with Si Jiahui.”

“It would be nice to see one of those players dominate.”
