The following is a selection of news from the world of sports starting from Cristiano Ronaldo until Dawn Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto.

Here’s a selection of the world’s sports news in the last 24 hours:

1. Ronaldo is honest about the World Cup trophy

Cristiano Ronaldo says he doesn’t want to exchange five Champions League winners’ medals for a World Cup trophy. This statement was considered honest because Ronaldo was interviewed with a lie detector attached to his arm.

The World Cup trophy is a major championship that until now has not been won by Ronaldo. Considering Ronaldo’s age, which is already 38 years old, Ronaldo has only a small chance of participating again with Portugal in the upcoming 2026 World Cup when he is 41 years old.

2. STY Calls Swansea Defender Interest in Naturalization

Indonesian National Team coach Shin Tae Yong (STY) admitted that Swansea City player Nathan Tjoe-A-On was interested in being naturalized as an Indonesian Citizen (WNI).

“This is the Swansea player. The player is indeed interested in being naturalized. He agreed to move nationals,” said Shin Tae Yong in a press conference in Solo, Tuesday (5/9).

However, Shin Tae Yong will not be hasty and react hastily before seeing and making a detailed assessment of the 21-year-old player’s appearance on the field.

3. Fajar/Rian collapsed in the first round of the China Open

Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto lost to Kim Astrup/Anders Skaarup Rasmussen in the first round of the 2023 China Open at the Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium, Changzhou, Tuesday (5/9) afternoon.

Fajar/Rian lost two straight games with an equally tight score, 19-21, 19-21. The defeat in the first round of the China Open continued Fajar/Rian’s bad track record in the last few tournaments. Previously at the 2023 World Championships, Fajar/Rian also lost their first match in the round of 32.
