Ronald Acuna Jr. Makes Baseball History with 40 Home Runs and 60 Stolen Bases in a Season

Ronald Acuna Jr. wrote a new page in the history of major baseball on Friday evening.

The Atlanta Braves outfielder became the first player ever to have a season with 40 home runs and 60 stolen bases. After reaching the plateau of 60 stolen bases on August 31, Acuna Jr. slammed his 40th shot in a game against the Washington Nationals, which allowed him to establish this unprecedented mark. He is now part of the select group of 40-40 with Jose Canseco (1988), Barry Bonds (1996), Alex Rodriguez (1998) and Alfonso Soriano (2006).

Acuna Jr. is only two stolen bases away from the 70 mark.
