Rodionov in Bad Waltersdorf schon out

For Jurij Rodionov the final stop was on Monday at the Tennis ATP Challenger in Bad Waltersdorf. The 24-year-old from Lower Austria had to admit defeat to the Italian Andrea Pellegrino 7:6 (7/6) 3:6 2:6 in the first round of the clay court tournament worth 145,000 euros. After the defeat in the Davis Cup on Friday in Schwechat, it was the next bitter defeat for Rodionov, as Pellegrino is 122 places behind 108th in the world rankings.

ATP-Challenger in Bad Waltersdorf

There are currently six more ÖTV players in the main field in the Styrian thermal resort. Lukas Neumayer, Joel Schwärzler (wildcard), Filip Misolic, Sebastian Sorger (wildcard) as well as Dennis Novak and “Lucky Loser” Sandro Kopp, who are playing against each other, will all be in action on Tuesday (from 11.55 a.m., live on ORF Sport +).
