The World Sports Games have ended, the World Amateur Games promoted by CSIT International Confederation of Amateur Sport and Workers and organized in Italy by AiCS Italian Sports Culture Association. The performances of the Riccione athletes were excellent.
There were two athletes under 21 in the ACSI ITALIA representation: Bruno Karamba BADIANE won the gold medal by winning two matches against French athletes with two lightning-fast ippons (judo KO) and Dmytro HALICH (known as Dima), still 15 years old, the youngest in his weight category who wins 3 out of 4 matches, surrendering only to the Austrian representative and winning against a teammate, the Belgian and the French representative. The final classification saw him in third place by just one point.
The ACSI representative won the judo medal table with a group of athletes belonging to clubs in the province of Rimini and Forlì Cesena.
“I think that our athletes had an excellent race. Bruno won easily, while Dima suffered some insecurity. In any case, for him it was a new opportunity for growth and training for the next Ukrainian championships which he will go to in Kiew at the end of September” declares coach Longo.
The judo section has resumed its courses and has 2 more OPEN DAYS scheduled on 18 and 27 September.

Skating Riccione
At the ACSI “Roberta Gentilini” National Trophy, held at the Playhall in Riccione, Riccione Skating presented itself with a very large delegation of more than 40 athletes, aged 5 and above, who competed on various days in different specialties. Great enthusiasm from president Gigliola Mattei for the third place in the national ranking of companies, with 97 represented. “A special thank you goes to all our athletes, from the youngest to the oldest, and to our coaches and managers who followed and prepared the athletes, together with all the parents who always support us”.
Viola Gabellini (gold in the rookie category B), Sara Zaghini (regional student gold A) and Luca Tamburini (silver in the junior category), all from the home competitive team, stood out at the Gentilini trophy. Good performances by the Green Pearl quartet, the new Green Pearl Show Team formation (small group) and the junior group “Catene”.
