Match of the day: Venezia-Palermo 1-3
An extraordinary Matteo Brunori in hat trick version drags Palermo to second place in the standings after the 3-1 in Venice at 13 points in cohabitation with the surprising Como. In the 9th minute, the Rosanero striker starts with a penalty kick and, after the usual goal by Pohjanpalo for the momentary 1-1, he scores again first in the 62nd minute with a header on the goal line from Lucione’s tower and, in the 92nd minute, with a nice soft touch to Joronen on the way out and Mancuso’s nice verticalization. With this hat-trick, Brunori rises to 52 goals in the Rosanero shirt, surpasses Luca Toni and climbs into fourth place among the most prolific scorers in Palermo’s history.
Top: FeralpiSalò
First victory for Stefano Vecchi’s FeralpiSalò, which arrived in the lair of another newly promoted team like Lecco: both, until last year, played in group A of Serie C. At the “Rigamonti-Ceppi” it ends 1-2 and everything comes incredibly decided within 3′! In the 51st minute, following the development of a tumultuous melee in the area, Parigini throws it back into the area from the right, finding the winning conclusion from Balestrero. Ball in the center and Lecco equalized with Nicolò Buso (uncle Renato’s nephew, former striker of Juventus, Fiorentina, Sampdoria, Napoli, Sampdoria and Piacenza): header with the ball hitting the internal crossbar before hitting the ball, on the assist from Lepore flag. The Leoni del Garda, however, won it in the 54th minute: on the left, Mattia Felici collected the ball from Bruno Martella, broke through into the Blucelesti area and scored with a perfect diagonal shot past Saracco. FeralpiSalò with 4 points, Lecco remains at 1.
Flop: Sampdoria
There is a terrible crisis at Sampdoria. At the “Sinigaglia”, home of one of the best teams of the moment, Como, another defeat arrives which leaves Andrea Pirlo’s Blucerchiati – increasingly at risk of dismissal – in seventeenth place with 3 points. On the lake shore, the usual Cypriot arrow Ioannou decides, able in the 54th minute to finish a precise cross from Verdi from the right in front of goal. With their fourth consecutive victory, Moreno Longo’s band thus leaps into second place, sharing 13 points with Palermo.
Purchasing advice: Mattia Felici (FeralpiSalò)
Roman winger, born in 2001, Mattia Felici – his very first years in the Nuova Tor Tre Teste – wears the shirts of Lecce and Palermo. Last year he moved to Triestina on a permanent basis. In the very troubled past season of rossoalabardati in Serie C group A, Felici accumulated 30 appearances in total and 4 goals. The Julian club then loaned him to FeralpiSalò, for which he decided the match in Lecco with an extraordinary move, full of grit and character.
The social moment
Mister Fabio Pecchia’s Parma takes off thanks to the victory in the big match at Tardini signed by Partipilo-Benedyczak. Ducali first with 17 points and already +4 from second place!
