PSG Responds to Neymar and Messi’s Claims of Hell in Paris

In a short response to L’Equipe, PSG responded to recent interviews with Neymar and Lionel Messi about the ‘hell’ they say they went through in Paris. The two players now play in Saudi Arabia and MLS respectively.

“We don’t comment, we have a certain elegance. Curiously, the two players wanted to stay at PSG”: two little sentences but a cash answer. This is how PSG reacted, in L’Equipe on Monday, to recent statements by its former stars Neymar and Lionel Messi.

The latest outing is signed by the Brazilian. This Sunday, O Globo unveiled an interview with Neymar in which the former Barça player is uncompromising with PSG: “I was very happy for Messi, for his season, even if he has known everything. He is went to heaven with Argentina, he went through hell in Paris, he and I went through hell.”

Messi’s “difficult” life in Paris

Before him, Lionel Messi had several times mentioned his Parisian malaise. Visibly fulfilled since moving to Miami, where he is already dazzling MLS, the Argentinian seems to have felt great relief after his departure. “It was much easier than we thought, we had experienced Barcelona in Paris. It was complicated, but it was different,” Messi said in mid-August, speaking of a “difficult” Parisian experience. Elements that the Argentinian had already pointed the finger in an interview for Sport and Mundo Deportivo after his departure from the Parisian club.
