Patrick Beverley Slams Load Management Association with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George

Patrick Beverley has made it clear that he doesn’t like Los Angeles Clippers stars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George being used as poster children for load management.

The new Philadelphia 76ers guard said it’s “bullshit” to associate Leonard, George and the Clippers with load management.

“Why do they show the Clippers every time they show the team? On every app I looked at they showed Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. It’s bullshit.”Beverley said of the issue of load management in the NBA, via the The Pat Bev Podcast.

To be fair to Patrick Beverley and the Clippers, it’s true that Kawhi Leonard and Paul George aren’t the only ones taking advantage of load management. After all, it was San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich who made it popular.

In defense of the players, both Leonard and PG have struggled with injuries in recent years. Considering how much the Clippers need them, it makes sense to give them some rest every now and then to ensure they are in good physical condition for the postseason.

However, it’s also hard to blame fans for associating the issue with Leonard and the Clippers. The Clippers are very loaded and for fans who just want to watch them play it is certainly disappointing to attend the games knowing that the team’s stars will not be on the pitch.
