‘Our province plays’ is back. The promotional campaign promoted by Unicaja Baloncesto is now in its third season and, for yet another year, it will seek to compile all the support from the province of Malaga for Unicaja on match days at the Martín Carpena while highlighting the role of the localities. A very effective and already consolidated binomial that this year will add a new municipality.
In this way, the towns that were part of the last edition repeat: Estepona, Nerja, Alhaurín de la Torre, Antequera, Benahavís, Rincón de la Victoria, Vélez-Málaga, Marbella, Torrox and Torremolinos, who are joined in this new Benalmádena course. 11 municipalities dedicated to the promotion of basketball in the province of Malaga.
Thanks to this campaign, residents of each town will be able to enjoy the live match that corresponds to them. A dedicated match and a second special promotion match will be created. For the dedicated match, the events planned to promote the town are the installation of a tent on the outside esplanade of the Martín Carpena where the already traditional and consolidated ‘Fan Zone’ will be enjoyed, in which numerous activities will take place such as games or distribution of souvenirs, among others.
Once inside, special advertising of the town will be broadcast on the video scoreboard and on the LED ring, an interview will be held prior to the meeting with the mayor and other promotional actions will be carried out such as tastings for the attending public, distribution of merchandising, contests during breaks, etc All with the aim of making each match held at the Martín Carpena more attractive so that fans enjoy them more than ever.
Later, a second game will be held in which the town can do a special advertising promotion.
Our Club will also carry out sports and social training actions to establish the logical synergy between Unicaja and these teammates.
At the presentation, which took place this Wednesday at the Trocadero Casa de Botes restaurant in Málaga, in addition to the president of Unicaja Baloncesto, Antonio Jesús López Nieto, the mayors and Sports councilors of the participating municipalities, and the councilor of Sports of Málaga, Borja Vivas, who have shown their commitment and enthusiasm for the project and for the support of the Club.
It is, therefore, about turning the Martín Carpena into a great party in which basketball and the localities form a team to add together, as has already been successfully demonstrated in the two previous seasons in which ‘Our province plays’ has helped consolidate basketball in the Malaga scene.
