During the ceremony for the Ambrogino d’Oro at Palazzo Marino, Ettore Messina also spoke about the season that awaits Olimpia Milano: «It will be an exciting, difficult season, with great opponents: we are certainly equipped to compete in every competition. Then we also hope for luck to bring something home again.”
The EuroLeague is a dream or a goal: «Euroleague is a dream. It’s a very tough competition, with very great rivals. We reached the Final Four three years ago but last year we failed to qualify for the playoffs in a season of great suffering. We have to be realistic, but we have the potential to do well. We will have to work to make this dream a little more real every day.”
The third star is obviously a celebration, not an increase in pressure: «When you work in a city like this, for an owner like Mr. Armani, you always have to be up to the task. The star doesn’t move in this sense, it doesn’t create pressure, but confidence to do other good things.”
