Djokovic defeated Ben Shelton 6:3, 6:2 and 7:6 (4) and only had slight problems in the third set when he had to fend off a set point. Djokovic didn’t allow anything in the first two sets against the local hero. And also started the third act with a break. In the short decision, Novak Djokovic quickly led 5:1, Shelton came back to 4:5. After a playing time of 2:40 hours, the 23-time Grand Slam champion converted his second match point.
