The ESPN network reported that an amount of $ 122.5 million was guaranteed with this agreement. The San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman will earn a record $34 million annually.

Defensive tackle Aaron Donald (Los Angeles Rams) held that mark with a 2023 salary of $31.7 million. The top three for this season are completed by TJ Watt (Pittsburgh Steelers), at $28 million, and Bosa’s brother, Joey (Los Angeles Chargers), who will earn $27 million.

Nick Bosa’s new contract will begin next year, at the conclusion of his current five-year deal. In recent days, he had gone on strike by refusing to show up for the first practice of the week before Sunday’s opener against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The 25-year-old is off to quite the start of his NFL career, first being named Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2019. He was named Best Defensive Player at the end of the most recent campaign after leading the Goodell circuit with 18.5 quarterback sacks.

Bosa was the second overall player selected in the 2019 draft. He appeared in the All-Star Game three times in four seasons.
