NFL Player Laurent Duvernay-Tardif Retires After Nine Seasons: A Look Back on His Adventure

“I sometimes still can’t believe the opportunity I had to experience this adventure.”

Laurent Duvernay-Tardif officially retires from the NFL after playing nine seasons in the league.

The one who has already won a Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs seems to have other projects in mind and we imagine that it is time for the trained doctor to devote himself to medicine.

It is therefore by thanking his agent Sasha, his lover Florence, Coach Reid, the Chiefs, the Jets, McGill University and Quebec fans for having supported him throughout his sporting career, that he is now leaving to retirement, very well deserved for the player.

“I’ve had the chance to play in the NFL for 9 years now and I sometimes still can’t believe the opportunity I had to experience this adventure. Being a professional athlete is a privilege as well as such an enriching human and personal experience. Victories, defeats and injuries were all opportunities to learn how to win and lose as a team while managing big emotions,” we read in his Instagram post.

Laurent Duvernay-Tardif played a total of 79 games in the NFL, including 71 as a starter. Still a busy career for the high-level athlete!

Please note that the player will take part in a press conference this Thursday (September 21) at 2 p.m. to make the official announcement of his retirement and thus give more details on this subject.
