Neuchâtel comes eighth
The Neuenburg Atomics baseball team also narrowly lost the second placement game for seventh place in the second Bundesliga against the Saarlouis Hornets 3-4 and thus ended the season in eighth place. Despite the defeat, the Atomics can be satisfied overall. Under coach Rob Piscatelli, they finished eighth out of 21 teams in the second Bundesliga, confidently qualified for the playoffs and won the prestigious ABC tournament. It was an overall strong performance from the young team, which managed without additional imported players this season.
