Napoli suffered their first defeat in the third round of the Italian Serie A. The defending champions were beaten 2-1 by Lazio Rome in front of their home crowd. Luis Alberto (30′) and Daichi Kamada (52′) scored for the visitors, Piotr Zielinski equalized (32′).
Napoli have six points, as does Sturm’s opponent in the Europa League, Atalanta Bergamo, who beat Monza 3-0 at home. Ederson (35′) and Gianluca Scamacca (42′, 62′) scored for the northern Italians.
